First Aid for Dance & Sports


The First Aid for Dance & Sports course is designed to enable dance teachers and sports leaders / coaches to have a basic understanding of first aid techniques for conditions that they may encounter during their sessions.
The course covers primary and secondary care skills. Occupations that can use this course include: dance class teachers, sports coaches, personal trainers and anyone involved in this type of activity.

- Casualty care
- Initial assessment
- AED Training
- Allergic reaction and the use of auto-injectors
- Asthma
- Bleeding management
- Bone, muscle and joint injuries
- Burns
- Choking adult, child and infant
- Head injuries
- Poisoning
- CPR adult, child and infant
- Treatment of an unconscious casualty
- Minor injuries including nose bleeds
